We have two more players signed up for the E grade Autumn Cup, Fabrizio Facchini and Sarah Bennett, so now we have 38 participants in total - great progress!
And we all got a lovely surprise on Thursday night when new member Beate Aumeier brought in some exquisite home baking in a very large tin. There was plenty for everyone, and I, for one, attribute my victory to the extra energy it gave to my brain. Thank you so much Beate! All future baking efforts by any members will be gratefully received.
In the A grade Mark v Scott was postponed, Brian held Anthony to a draw, and Bill beat Andrew Stone. In the B grade Michael Nyberg is leading on 2/2 after beating Alan. Peter leads the C grade despite being held to a draw by Andrew Brockway. Don leads the D grade on 2/2, and in the E grade we have three players still on 100%, Pat, Andreas and Roshan. The E grade is particularly interesting because there are so many new and untested players there.
