The national interschool competition is on this weekend.
Johnsonville School are currently on 11.5/20 in the
primary section after 5 rounds today. They’ve won 3 matches, drawn
another, but had a 4-0 loss to one of the very strong Auckland teams.
Karthik is doing exceptionally well
on board 1 with 4/5. There are 12 teams in the competition (all winners from
their own region’s competitions). Thorndon and Scot’s College
are also there representing Wellington
in the intermediate and secondary school sections but I haven’t heard how
they’ve got on today. There are two more rounds tomorrow morning.
