Club Champs Round 8 Games

There were upsets in all three grades this week, and some very exciting games! Michael Nyberg showed again he is not afraid of the big names at the club - he out-tactic-ed Russell Dive, giving up a minor piece for an attack on the king which may not have been quite sound, but was certainly effective. Mike Roberts continues to set the pace in the B grade, but Alan Aldridge is waiting in the shadows, and has games in hand. Rama Rao had an accident against Jonathon Whittle, allowing his King to come under a murderous attack on the queen side. The C grade leader was defeated by Saurabh Gupta, but should still be on course for the title, barring major upsets...
