Club Championships 2013
Congratulations to
- Russell Dive for finishing me off, to complete his picket fence in the A grade
- Andrew Brockway for drawing with Lawrence, thus clinching the C grade title half a point ahead of Ken Heaton
- Karthik Konakanchi for winning two games last night to maintain his challenge for the D grade title - needs to win his last game next week to tie with Joshua Wight
- Layla Timergazi and Ross Jackson will be battling to win their last games next week against Philip Rossiter and Bruce Kay respectively to decide the B grade title.

Club Champs 2nd catch up week

Good luck to Layla Timergazi, Ross Jackson and Andrew Brockway all playing in the South Island Championship in Nelson this week. These three players also have vital catch up games to play in the Club Championships here in Wellington, so we will have to wait to see how the get on, to decide the B and C grade titles.
No doubting who is the A grade champion - Russell Dive has won 8 out of 8 and just needs to beat me next week for his picket fence. Anthony is in clear 2nd place and Mark has just overtaken me for 3rd, on tie break.
The D grade title is still in dispute, with a large number of games still to be played there. I thought Joshua Wight had run off with the title, but because he lost his last 2 games, he could have been caught by both Taina Walters, and Karthik Konakanchi. Now, with Taina losing twice last night, only Karthik can catch Joshua by winning his last 3 games.
