I shall publish this when I get round to it, it was a really good game.
Round 4 was delayed because when it was due to start Nyberg v Nicholls was still being played from round 3. Michael Nyberg was trying to win K+R versus K+N, unsuccessfully of course. They played 50 moves without a capture and a pawn move, so Leighton Nicholls claimed a draw. Michael protested that FIDE had changed the rule from 50 to 100 moves, and that Leighton should forfeit the game if he claimed the draw erroneously, at which point the arbiter Philip Rossiter stepped in and confirmed it was indeed a draw.
In round 4 Scott Wastney beat Mike Steadman with the black pieces on the top board, so he is now the only player left on full points. Half a point behind are Nic Croad, Anthony Ker and last year's Wellington Open co-winner David Vincenti, who beat Brian Nijman in round 4. And a host of players are on 3/4.
