Congratulations to Anthony Ker for winning the Autumn Cup in fine style. There were no draws in the A grade, and the cross table is as pretty as a picture, so here it is.

Ben Thomas had a torrid time in the A grade, as did Scott Wastney. Scott is not accustomed to losing at the club at all, but in this tournament he lost 4 games in a row. Let's hope he regains his confidence in time for the Baku Olympiad later in the year.
In Croad v Wastney, most of the pieces came off very quickly, but Nic with commendable persistence kept niggling away, gradually built up an advantage and won after 87 moves. A remarkable performance that Magnus Carlsen would have been proud of!
Brian Nijman took just under 100 moves to defeat Michael Nyberg, in a very interesting game. I'll publish this in a separate post, Brian has annotated it for us.
This means that Brian is the B grade Champion.
In the C grade Ross Jackson beat his nearest rival Yogesh Kulkarni, and thus collected the C grade title.
And in the D grade, Bob List reached a winning position against Pat Cunningham, but agreed a draw to secure the title in this grade.
Other grades are still up in the air, except in the G grade where I believe Ryan Winter takes it, as his only possible rival Sarah Bennett appears to have pulled out.
